Who We Are

                 The Shoe Mart of Newnan has been family owned and operated since 1983. Formerly, Fayette Shoes, of Fayetteville, Georgia, The Shoe Mart is now located in Newnan. In 2021, Sutton’s Safety Shoes partnered with The Shoe Mart when the former owner decided to retire. Our partnership provides mobile safety footwear services to increase service opportunities to the surrounding areas. The Shoe Mart continues to specialize in safety footwear and shoes for both men and women.

 

Position Summary

                 Our store employees are the face of The Shoe Mart shopping experience. Smiles and a pleasant demeanor keep customers coming back. Our store employees work many roles from store associate to cashier and stocker while providing excellent customer service. As a store employee you are also responsible for merchandising product, monitoring inventory, and keeping the store looking its best. It is an opportunity to get more out of your career and grow in and exciting environment

 

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding service

• Maintain knowledge and awareness of store inventory

• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day priorities assigned by store management

• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards

• Participate in the stocking of new inventory on sales floor

• Aid customers in locating merchandise and answer questions accordingly

• Present a professional demeanor in attire, grooming, personal hygiene, and language

• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses

• Adhere to company policies and procedures

• Perform general cleaning duties as required or assigned

• Other duties as assigned by management

 

Requirements

• Basic computer skills

• Ability to operate as a team player

• Excellent communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask

• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

• Demonstrate the ability to read and write and apply basic mathematical skills

• Demonstrate the ability to stand, bend, reach or lift merchandise up to 50lbs
